FAQ

How much does it cost?

This depends on how much retouching and artwork is involved in your project. Of course Glamour Makeovers and original Artwork would be more costly than a slight touch up. See our pricing schedule as a guide to our prices. Feel free to send in your images for a free no obligation quote.

How do I receive my completed images?

Completed images will be sent back to you via Cd, DVD or if possible, FTP.

What is the postage and handling fee?

To send back original  &/or completed images on Cd/DVD there is a Au$6.30 postage and handling fee within Australia. The postage and handling for international clients would be estimated via the country of destination and may vary between Au$15-25.00 depending on postage requirements eg registered or normal, sea or air. A quote will include estimated postage costs.

How do I send my images?

As good quality photos are very large you may be limited to emailing only 1-2 images per email. Alternatively, you could send your files through an FTP server. Transfer big files, for example, enables you to send up to a 1 Gb file. You simply need to go to www.transferbigfiles.com/, browse for your file and enter info@touchmeup.com.au to email it to us. You could also send files through the post, however, do not send originals - send a copy. Your discs, memory card etc will be returned with your touched up picture.

I didn't take the photos can they be touched up at Touch Me Up?  Touch Me Up cannot be held  responsible for copyright violations. When you give us the image you are certifying that you are the copyright owner and/or have the copyright owner's permission to use, alter and distribute the image.

What is resolution? What size should I send my photos?

Resolution refers to the amount of information saved in the photo. When printed the resolution is referred to as dots per inch (dpi). On screen resolution is pixels per inch (ppi). To look good on a computer screen, with minimal download/upload speed, the resolution of a picture needs to be only 72 ppi. A printed picture needs to be at least 300 dpi. Hence, if you try to download a picture from the internet and print it, it is often blurry.

For a descent photo reproduction the image must be submitted with the highest resolution possible. Most modern cameras have a 'high quality' setting. A 3Mp image or greater will have great results.

Can I scan a photo?
Photos can be scanned and sent to Touch me up, or Touch Me Up can scan them for you. The image will need to be scanned at a minimum of 300dpi. If the image needs to be cropped in tighter and then resized up, the image will need to be scanned at a greater resolution. Contact us info@touchmeup.com.au  if you need help.
